Privacy Policy
What Cachelift keeps on your Mac, the licensing and purchase data our servers receive, who processes it, how long it is kept and how to contact us about it.
Cachelift is made and sold by Brixfly Services (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Cachelift Mac app, this website and the licensing service behind them. Contact us about privacy at support@brixfly.com.
The short version
- Scanning happens on your Mac. File names, folder paths, sizes and your cleanup choices stay on your Mac and are never sent to us.
- The app contacts our servers only to check your license, to buy one, to resend a lost key and to check for update notices.
- The app has no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
What stays on your Mac
Cachelift reads folder and file names and sizes so it can show you a list. It keeps your settings, your license key and a record of what it moved to the Trash. None of this is sent to us.

We never receive your file names, folder paths or scan results.

Your card, UPI or bank details go to our payment provider directly. We never see or store them. The provider handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
This website
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes basic request data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. When you buy, the payment window comes from our payment provider and may set its own cookies.
How long we keep data
- Orders and payment records: as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires us to, currently up to 8 years.
- Your license and its key: for as long as the license exists, so it keeps working and we can resend your key.
- The Mac linked to your license: until you deactivate it in the app, or ask us to remove it.
- IP addresses used to limit abuse: deleted after 1 day.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after your last message.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or ask what we hold about you. Email support@brixfly.com from the address you bought with. We may ask you to confirm you own that address. We keep payment records the law requires even after a deletion request, and deleting your license record means the license stops working.
If you are in India, you can also raise a grievance with us at support@brixfly.com under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you live elsewhere, you may have further rights under your local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Cachelift is a tool for developers and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Security
License data is sent over encrypted connections, license keys are stored encrypted and access to our systems is limited. No service is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes
When we change this policy we update the date above. For material changes we will also email license holders.
